Schools and colleges in Chennai , Kanchi, Villupuram to close on Nov 14

Chennai:
Schools and colleges in Chennai will remain closed on November 14 due to heavy rains, the Tamil Nadu government announced on November 13.
The educational institutions in Kanchipuram and Villupuram will also remain closed on November 14.
With weathermen predicting that rains will continue for five more days, the government decided to keep the schools and colleges closed to prevent any untoward incident.
The examinations scheduled for Anna University affiliated colleges on November 12, 13 and 14 are rescheduled to December 21, 22 and 24 respectively, said S. Ganesan, Registrar, Anna University.
All examinations scheduled today in Madras University have been cancelled due to rain. New dates will be announced later, said R.Thandavan, Vice-Chancellor, University of Madras.
