Schools, colleges in Chennai, Kanchi, Tiruvallur district to be closed till Nov 22

Chennai:
Schools and colleges in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts of Tamil Nadu will remain closed till November 22, the Government announced today.
With the situation not returned to normalcy yet in these districts, as several areas still remain inundated due to heavy rains, the State Government does not wish to take any chances.
On the other hand, schools and colleges in Vellore district will re-open on November 19, after having been closed for several days due to heavy rains.
