Southern Rly cancels some trains, reschedules others

The Southern Railway has cancelled 3 trains and rescheduled several other trains following heavy rains in various parts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai.

The trains fully cancelled were: Chennai Central – Vijayawada Jn. Jan Shadabdi Express, Vijayawada Jn.  – Chennai Central Jan Shadabdi Express, and Bangalore – Chennai Central Brindavan Express.
 
Trains partially cancelled were:
 
1. Train No.16204 Tirupati – Chennai Central express partially cancelled between Tiruvallur and Chennai Central.
2. Train No.16203 Chennai Central – Tirupati express partially cancelled between Chennai Central and Tiruvallur.
3. Train No.12711 Vijayawada – Chennai Central Pinakini express  partially cancelled between Sullurupetta and Chennai Central.
4. Train No.12712 Chennai Central – Vijayawada Pinakini express partially cancelled between Chennai Central and Sullurupetta.
5. Train No.16054 Tirupati - Chennai Central express partially cancelled between Tiruvallur and Chennai Central.
6. TrainNo.16053 Chennai Central - Tirupati express partially cancelled between Chennai Central – Tiruvallur.
 
Trains diverted were:
 
1. Train No.12296 Patna – Bangalore express will be diverted via. Gudur, Renigunta, Melpakkam.(will not touch Chennai Central).
2.  Train No.12516 Guwahati – Thiruvananthapuram Central express will be diverted via. Korukkupet, Vyasarpadi and Perambur (will not touch Chennai Central).
3. Train No.22641 Thiruvananthapuram – Shalimar express will be diverted via. Perambur, Vyasarpadi and Korukkupet (will not touch Chennai Central).


 Trains rescheduled were:
 1. Train No.12842 Chennai Central – Howrah Coromandal express scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 08.45 hrs. is rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 12.30 hrs.
2. Train No.12656 Chennai Central – Ahmedabad Navjivan express scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 09.35 hrs. is rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 13.00 hrs.
3. Train No.12676 Coimbatore - Chennai Central Kovai express scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 14.55 hrs. is rescheduled to leave Coimbatore at 16.15 hrs.
4. Train No.12244 Coimbatore - Chennai Central Shatabdi express scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 15.20 hrs. is rescheduled to leave Coimbatore at 18.30 hrs.

 Chennai-Arakkonam suburban services have also been affected due to flooding of railway tracks.
