The Election Commission of India has put off polling in the Thanjavur Assembly constituency of Tamil Nadu to May 23. Polling was set to begin at 7 a.m. on May 16. The orders were issued late on May 15 following seizure of huge sums of cash and reports about large-scale distribution of money to voters.
