AIADMK secures just 2 per cent more votes than DMK alliance in TN

Chennai:
The AIADMK has secured a vote share of 41.7 per cent so far, about 10.8 % ahead of the DMK (30.9). If the votes of Congress (6.4 %, IUML 1.2, 0.7 % of MMK, and 0.5 % of PT, etc) are added, the DMK alliance has polled about 39.7 per cent votes, just 2 per cent below that of AIADMK.
The Third Front of DMDK 2.2 %, TMC 0.8 %, CPI 0.8 % and CPM 0.8, has secured about 5.8 per cent of votes.
The PMK on its own did better than many other parties with 5.2 per cent vote share and is leading in three seats.
