DMDK to contest 124 seats, PWF in 110 seats under CVF banner

The DMDK will contest 124 seats as part of the Captain Vijayakanth Front (CVF) in the May 16 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, and the 4-party People's Welfare Front (PWF) in 110 seats, the CVF convenor Vaiko announced in Chennai on March 23.
An agreement to this effect was signed by Vijayakanth on part of DMDK, and the leaders of the four-party PWF at the DMDK headquarters on March 23.
The leaders displayed the agreement copy at a meeting immediately after the talks and the formation of the front.
The agreement also stated that Vijayakanth would be the chief ministerial candidate of the front.
