Schools, colleges in Chennai, Kanchi, Tiruvallur districts closed

Schools and colleges in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts will remain closed on Tuesday, November 12 due to heavy rains in these two districts from Monday afternoon.
The educational institutions are already closed for the last 11 days, which is already a record. Now, they will be closed for the 12th day today.
With rains being extremely heavy, there is little possibility of schools re-opening on Wednesday as Chennai has not yet recovered from last week's rains.
Suburban train services in North Chennai From Chennai Central station to Avadi have been disrupted.
Madras University and Anna University have announced postponement of examinations.
