Karuna advances campaign to March 26

Chennai:
DMK president M Karunanidhi sprang a surprise on March 24 by advancing the commencement of his campaign from April 5 to March 26.
Karunanidhi was initially scheduled to begin his campaign for the Lok Sabha polls on April 5 from from Coimbatore. However, he has now advanced it and will campaign for the three Chennai candidates on March 26.
Karunanidhi will begin the campaign at Chepauk in Central Chennai for his grandson Dayanidhi Maran.
He will also campaign for South Chennai candidate T K S Elangovan and North Chennai candidate R Girirajan.
No reason was given for the rescheduling of campaign.
DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan would commence his campaign on March 30, Rajya Sabha member and Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi from April 5, the party release said.
