UDHAYANIDHI STALIN (DMK), son of DMK president M K Stalin, defeated his nearest rival KASSALI A. V. A of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) by 69,355 votes in Chepauk-
Tiruvallikeni constituency of Chennai.
Udhayanidhi Stalin (DMK) 93,285 (67.89 per cent)
KASSALI A. V. A (PMK) 23,930 (17.42 per cent)
JAYASIMMARAJA S M (NTK) 9,193 (6.69 per cent)
MOHAMMED IDRIS K (IJK) 4,096 (2.98 per cent)
RAJENDRAN L (AMMK) 1,873 (1.36 per cent)
The seat was won by J. ANBAZHAGAN of DMK by 14,164 votes in 2016.
Stalin is also an actor, having played the role of hero in several Tamil hits.
