Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has said that in the last four years, a total of 1,319 schools had been upgraded in Tamil Nadu.
In her Independence Day speech shortly after unfurling the national flag at Fort St George, Jayalalithaa said 192 primary schools has been opened in the same period in Tamil Nadu.
72,843 teachers had been appointed and 53 colleges including four government engineering colleges were opened in the last four years, Jayalalithaa said.
