AIADMK wins Pappireddipatti Assembly bypoll by over 17,000 votes

Chennai:
AIADMK has won the Pappireddipatti Assembly byelection in Tamil Nadu. Its candidate A Govindasamy defeated his nearest DMK rival A Mani by 17,809 votes.
Govindasamy secured 100,974 votes as against 83,165 by A Mani.
Among others trailing were Rajendran DK (AMMK) 14,769, Nallathambi M (MNM) 2,309and Sathish S. (NTK) 3,680.
The seat was held by AIADMK in 2016.
22 Assembly constituencies are up for grabs in the by-elections in Tamil Nadu.
