Rajavarman MSR of AIADMK has won Sattur Assembly byelection by a narrow margin of 1,101 votes

Chennai:
Rajavarman MSR (AIADMK) has won the Sattur Assembly byelection in Tamil Nadu. He defeated his nearest DMK rival, V Srinivasan by a narrow margin of 1,101 votes.
Rajavarman secured 76,820 votes (42.29 per cent) as against 75,719 votes bagged by the DMK candidate (41.69 per cent).
Among others trailing are Subramanian SG (AMMK), Sundararaj N (MNM) and Sureshkumar P (NTK).
The seat was held by AIADMK in 2016.
22 Assembly constituencies are up for grabs in the by-elections in Tamil Nadu.
