AIADMK wins Manamadurai Assembly bypoll by over 8,000 votes

AIADMK has won the Manamadurai Assembly byelection in Tamil Nadu. Its candidate S Nagarajan S defeated his nearest rival of the DMK, Kasilingam alias Ilakkiyadasan by 8,194 votes.
Nagarajan secured 85,228 votes as against 77,034 votes of Kasilingam.
Among others trailing were Mariappankennedy S (AMMK) 20,395 and Shanmughapriya M (NTK) 9,315.
The seat was held by AIADMK in 2016.
22 Assembly constituencies are up for grabs in the by-elections in Tamil Nadu.
