Vaithilingam is poised for victory in Puducherry LS election

Puducherry: Puducherry Speaker V Vaithilingam is leading in the Puducherry Lok Sabha constituency, ahead of his nearest AINRC rival Narayanaswamy Kesavan by over 1.36 lakh votes.

Vaithilingam had secured 2,95,462 votes (57.23 per cent) as against 158,988 of Kesavan (30.79 per cent).

Dr. M.A.S. Subramanian of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) polled 24,415 votes (4.73 per cent) to be third in the race.
