AIADMK finalises list of constituencies for its front in TN, Puducherry

Chennai:
The ruling AIADMK on March 17 released the list of constituencies to be contested by the party along with its allies for the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone seat for the Union Territory of Puducherry.
The AIADMK will contest in 20 seats, the PMK in 7, BJP 5, DMDK 4, TMC, Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) and New Justice Party (NJP) one seat each. The All India NR Congress (AIMRC) will seek victory in the Puducherry seat. The AIADMK will officially contest 21 seats as the NJP is using the AIADMK’s Two Leaves symbol.
The constituencies to be contested by the AIADMK are:
Tiruvallur, South Chennai, Kancheepuram, Arani, Tiruvannamalai, Chidambaram, Krishnagiri, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Pollachi, Karur, Mayiladuthurai, Perambalur, Nagapattinam, Madurai, Theni and Tirunelveli.
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) is fielding its candidates in the following seven constituencies: Sriperumpudur, Dharmapuri, Central Chennai, Cuddalore, Arakkonam, Villupuram and Dindigul.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is contesting five seats: Kanniyakumari, Sivaganga, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore and Ramanathapuram.
The Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) will seek victory from the following four constituencies: North Chennai, Kallakurichi, Tiruchi and Virudhunagar.
The Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar), the Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) and the NJP have been allotted the Thanjavur, Tenkasi and Vellore constituencies respectively.
The list was released by AIADMK coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and party joint coordinator and Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
