IT raids at offices of Christy company in TN, Bengaluru

Income-tax raids are taking place across 75 places of the Christy company particularly Chennai, Coimbatore, Namakkal, Tiruchengode and Bengaluru.
The company supplies eggs to Tamil Nadu government schools under the mid-day meal scheme for school children.
Over 500 personnel of the Income-Tax Department were involved in the raids, IT department sources said.
The IT department is looking into charges of tax evasion by the group.
