PMK members held for protest at BJP office

Chennai:
Chennai Police detained over 50 PMK members when they attempted to lay siege to the BJP office at T Nagar in Chennai on June 25, 2018, to condemn its state president Tamilisai Soundararajan’s criticism of their party leader and founder Dr S Ramadoss.
Former minister A K Moorthy led the protest by party members demanding an apology from Tamilisai for speaking ill of Dr Ramadoss.
The PMK members also protested against the State BJP leader’s statement that PMK leader andf former Union minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss had not taken any effort to establish AIIMS in Tamil Nadu when he was the Union minister for health.
The protesters raised slogans against Tamilisai. Police detained them in a marriage hall in the city.
