PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi to pay homage to Jaya

Chennai:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress VP Rahul Gandhi will lead the nation’s mourners even as the funeral of AIADMK supremo and former chief minister J Jayalalithaa will take place in Chennai on December 6 evening.
Modi is expected to reach Chennai around 12 noon. Several Union ministers, leaders of national parties like BJP, Congress, Left and so on are visiting Chennai to pay homage to the departed leader.
Right from 5 a.m., thousands lined up to pay homage to Jayalalithaa at the Rajaji Hall where the body will be kept till the cremation in the evening.
Three queue formations had been provided for the mourners to have a last glimpse of Jayalalithaa.
Representatives of the film industry to which Jayalalithaa too belonged turned up in large numbers to offer their condolences later in the day.
