Jaya body taken to Poes Garden residence in Chennai

Chennai:
The body of AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa was taken from Apollo Hospitals to her Poes Garden residence in Chennai shortly after
her death.
Newly-elected chief minister O Panneerselvam and his cabinet colleagues rushed to Apollo Hospitals soon after they sworn in at the
Raj Bhavan by Governor C Vidyasagar Rao. They paid homage to the departed leader at the hsopital, and then accompanied the
body on its last journey to her residence.
A large number of AIADMK workers lined both sides of the roads leading to her residence from the hospital, raising cries of Puratchi
Thalaivi Vaazhaga (Long Live Revolutionary leader), and also in front of her house.
The body will be taken to Rajaji Hall where the public will pay homage as also several national leaders who are expected to reach
Chennai on Tuesday morning.
