TN Chief Minister Jayalalithaa suffers heart attack at hospital

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa suffered a heart attack while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai on December 4 evening.
A hospital bulletin said Jayalalithaa had a heart attack this evening, and added that doctors were attending to her.
The development has come as a shock since earlier in the day an AIADMK spokesman C Ponnaiyan said Jayalalithaa had recovered totally from the ill-effect of the infection, that she was in good health and that she would shortly be discharged from the hospital.
However, later in the evening she suffered a heart attack.
