Jayalalithaa submits 29-point memorandum to PM Modi

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa has submitted a 94-page, 29-point memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking assistance to a number of projects in Tamil Nadu.
The following are the main demands of Jayalalithaa in the memorandum:
Katchatheevu, an island ceded to Sri Lanka, should be retrieved. Tamil should be made official language. Tamil should also be the functional language in the Madras High Court. The interests of Tamil Nadu fishermen should be protected. Steps should be taken to secure release of arrested fishermen and their boats from Sri Lanka. River waters should be linked in Tamil Nadu. Cauvery Management Board should be established. The height of the Mullaiperiyar dam should be raised to 152 feet. Karnataka should not be allowed to build a Megadhatu dam. The route of the GAIL project should be altered.
Metro Rail should be expanded. Metro Rail and MRTS should be integrated.
Tamil Nadu's amendments to GST Bill should be accepted by Centre as State will have loss particularly from manufacturing sector.
Koodankulam second plant should go on stream at the earliest.
The ban on Jallikattu should be removed and the decks cleared for its conduct in Tamil Nadu.
Petroleum products should be exempted from service tax.
