Jayalalithaa, Karunanidhi, Anbumani file nomination papers

Tamil Nadu chief minister and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, DMK president M Karunanidhi and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss were among those who filed their nominations for the May 16 elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
Jayalalithaa filed her nomination from the R K Nagar constituency at Tondiarpet election office in Chennai from where she was elected following her acquittal in the disproportionate assets case by the Bangalore High Court. Jayalalithaa was accompanied by her friend Sasikala Natarajan,
AIADMK presidium chairman Madhusudhanan, and former MLA from R K Nagar constituency, P Vetrivel.
Karunanidhi filed his papers in Tiruvarur, while Anbumani filed his nomination at Pennagaram.
