DMDK releases list of 40 candidates for Tamil Nadu polls

The DMDK released three lists of candidates for 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The party is contesting 104 seats as part of the Vijayakanth-led front which includes DMDK, PWF and TMC for the May 16 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
In the first list of five DMDK candidates released by its leader Vijayakanth on April 13 evening, the party has fielded A R Elangovan, party treasurer at Omalur; N Zakir Hussain, party deputy secretary, from Pudukottai; A Joseph Gerald, Trichy district deputy secretary, from Trichy West, T Adhilingaperumal, party labour wing deputy secretary, from Kanyakumari, and T Jagannathan, Kanyakumari district secretary, from Padmanabhapuram.
In the second list of 10 candidates, DMDK has picked the following candidates:
Party Headquarters secretary P. Parthasarathy (Virugambakkam), Azhagaapuram R Mohanraj (Salem West) Salem district secretary, E R Umanath (Sirkazhi) party deputy secretary, Prof J Constantine Ravindran, party’s teachers-graduates wing secretary, (Ambathur) , D Murugesan (Chengalpattu) Kanchipuram North district secretary, N Senthilkumar (Pattukottai) party’s youth wing deputy secretary, V Jayaprakash (Thanjavur) party’s Thanjavur south district secretary,T Leo Paramasivam (Kumbakonam) Thanjavur north district incharge, R Arulselvan (Mayiladuthurai) Nagapattinam district secretary, Sabha Sasikumar (Thittakudi –reserve) Cuddalore south district secretary.
In the third list, the DMDK has put up the following 25 candidates:
Muthukumar (Vridhachalam), Sivakolundhu (Panruti), Arumugam Nayinar (Ottapidaram), Karthikeyan (Natham), Balu (Vedasandur), Prabhu (Egmore), Geetha (Gummidipoondi), Rajendran Nathan ( Alangulam), Sezhiyan (Tambaram), Srinivasan (Tirumangalam), Ravi (Karur), Senthil Kumar (Tiruverumbur), Babu (Manachanallur), Krishnamurthy (Andipatti), Balamurugan (Kurinjipadi), Krishnamurthy (Tiruttani), Pandian (Villivakkam), Thennarasu (Madurantakam), Veerabadran (Bodinayakanur), Manikandan (Tiruvannamalai), Jayabalan (Nanguneri), V M Nehru (Kalasapakkam), Sivanandha Perumal (Radhapuram), Madhivanan (Kolathur), Arumugam (Tiruvottriyur).
