TMC candidates list will be released in 5 days: Vasan

TMC president G K Vasan announced on April 13 that his party’s list of 26 candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections would be released in about five days.
Talking to mediapersons in Chennai, Vasan said the list of constituencies identified by the Vijayakanth front would be released in a couple of days.
He said the exit of a couple of individuals like Peter Alphonse and their joining the Congress would not make any impact on the TMC. The party was intact and continued to enjoy the unstinted support of its leaders and cadre throughout the State. The exit of a few individuals had only benefited the party as the cadres were more united than before in the face of attempts to try and weaken it at the behest of some parties.
Vasan said the cadre of the party was well aware of the reasons for their exit and for what purpose and at whose behest.
