Justice Banumathi recuses herself from Jallikattu case in SC

New Delhi:
Justice R. Banumathi, on January 12, recused herself from hearing the jallikattu case in the Supreme Court.
Petitions seeking a stay on Jallikattu sport in Tamil Nadu were consequently shifted to a Bench led by Justice Dipak Misra.
It may be recalled that Justice R. Banumathi had first banned Jallikattu during her tenure as Judge of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court.
