Vishal group bags key posts in Nadigar Sangam elections

Chennai:
The Vishal group bagged key posts in the hotly contested Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Film Artistes Association) elections held in Chennai on October 18, 2015, ending the domination of Sarath Kumar and his brother-in-law Radha Ravi.
Vishal has got elected for the post of Nadigar Sangam General Secretary, securing 1,445 votes, defeating Radha Ravi who bagged only 1,038 votes in elections held in Chennai on October 18, 2015.
Nasser defeated SarathKumar in a close race, with Nasser gaining lead only towards the end. The Vishal group also grabbed the Treasurer post, with Karthi getting 1,493 votes as against 1,200 by SSR Kannan (son of late S S Rajendran).
Results for the post of vice presidents and executive committee members will be announced later tonight.
