CM Jayalalithaa pays last respects to Manorama

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa paid her last respects to the departed actor Manorama in Chennai on October 11, 2015.
In a condolence message, Jayalalithaa recalled her long association with the actor, and pointed out that her achievement of 1,300 films had entered the Guinness Book of Records.
Describing Manorama as a true friend, Jayalalithaa said she had also rendered over 300 songs, many of them extremely popular like Vaa Vaadhyaaraey Voottaandae (Bommalaattam) and Theriyaadha Nokku (Suryagandhi).
A large number of film personalities and leading figures in public life condoled the death of Manorama. Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were among the actors who visited the house of Manorama to pay their last respects.
