Hyderabad:
Justice Dr. B. Shiva Shankar Rao of Hyderabad High Court on September said that N. Srinivasan of India Cements need not appear in person every time during proceedings of the illegal assets case in which YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is main accused before the special court.
Former BCCI chairman Srinivasan contended that the case against him must be quashed as no case was made out against him. The judge adjourned the case to September 29 for detailed arguments and meanwhile granted limited relief of exemption from person appearance.
A Division Bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice D.B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt had on September 15 stated that the court will hear the two cases filed by Andhra Pradesh Intermediate board and Telangana board together next week for comprehensive adjudication.
The Bench was dealing with a case filed by Telangana Intermediate Board and the Telangana State government.
The petitioners complained that Rs. 345 crore belonging to the intermediate board in undivided State had been transferred illegally.
