New Delhi: The Union government has appointed former Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami as the new chairman of Kalakshetra Foundation governing body.
The Ministry of Culture stated that Gopalaswami had been appointed for a term of five years.
On June 3, 2014, the Centre had accepted the resignation tendered by Gopalkrishna Gandhi from the chairmanship of the Chennai-based foundation.
Gandhi, former governor of West Bengal, had submitted his resignation letter on May 21.
