Chennai:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on September 6, 2014, axed Dairy Development Minister Madhavaram V Murthi from the Cabinet and brought back B V Ramanaa in his place.
Governor K Rosaiah accepted the recommendation and relieved Murthi from the Council of Ministers.
On September 5, Jayalalithaa, who is the ruling AIADMK general secretary, relieved Murthi from the post of AIADMK Tiruvallur South district secretary and appointed Ramanaa as the secretary of Tiruvallur West district.
Ramanaa was sworn in as minister at the Raj Bhavan on September 6 evening in the presence of Jayalalithaa and other cabinet colleagues.
