Jaya, TNCC offer floral tribute to Kamaraj

AIADMK general secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa offered floral tributes to freedom fighter and former Chief Minister K Kamaraj on the occasion of his 112 birth anniversary here on July 15, 2014.
Jayalalithaa garlanded his portrait kept at the pedestal of the Kamaraj statue on Kamaraj Salai.
Senior ministers and officials also took part in the programme.
Meanwhile, the TNCC too recalled his services on the occasion of his birth anniversary at a meeting in Sathyamurthy Bhavan on July 15. Senior Congress leaders led by TNCC president B S Gnanadesikan, former TNCC chief Kumari Ananthan, and former Union Ministers, G K Vasan, E V K S Elangovan and S Thirunavukkarasar, offered floral tributes to Kamaraj.
The birth anniversary was also celebrated in all the districts of the State.
