The post-production work of Kochadaiiyaan has been completed and the film is now ready for delivery in both 2D and 3D versions on May 23 as scheduled, a spokesman of Eros International has confirmed.
In a statement, the spokesman said the sudden demand of additional 2,000 screens all over the world had led to a last-minute delay in the delivery of screening material to the theatres.
Her added that the rendering of the 3D version took longer than expected, which was the main release for the rescheduling of the film.
The film has Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, R Sarath kumar, Aadhi, Jackie shroff, Nasser, Shobana and Rukmini among others in the cast. It has music by A R Rahman. Written by KS Ravikumar, it's directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth ashwin and produced in six Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri) in addition to English. It is being released in 2D as well as 3D versions all over the world.
All post-production work had been completed and the film has been censored in all the six languages in 2D and 3D versions. The film is now ready for delivery and is releasing on May 23, 2014.
Earlier, there was an extraordinary response for the advance booking world over (1,25,000 tickets were sold in just 2 hours in Chennai alone).
Eros International is presenting the film and is releasing it world-wide with Media One Global Entertainment.
There was no question of any further delay and the movie would be released on May 23, the spokesman said.
