Maestro Ilayaraja’s eldest son and composer, Karthik Raja’s concert titled ‘Ilaiyaraajavin Sangeetha Thirunaal,’ in honour of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, is to be held at the Tamukkam Grounds here in the evening of April 5.
Ilayaraja’s son and music director Karthik Raja said the concert would present some of the best of his father’s songs and it would be a treat for the maestro’s fans.
“As my father hails from Pannaipuram in these parts, this concert is doubly special for him. As a show of gratitude for the support he received from people in his native place during his musical journey “ he said.
The concert would feature singers Mano, Hariharan, Sadhana Sargam, Haricharan, Vijay Prakash and Chitra among others are expected to render chartbuster numbers on the occasion apart from Raja’s family members.
The proceeds would go to Jeeva Ilaiyaraaja Educational Trust which will construct a school building at Pannaipuram. A fan club, ‘Ilaiyaraaja Fan Club,’ would be launched at the concert. Raj Tv takes pride in sharing the event with Karthick Raja & this show is gonna hit very soon in the
