The BJP has fielded A C Shanmugham, founder of Pudhiya Needhi Katchi (New Justice Party) as its candidate for the Vellore Lok Sabha seat in Tamil Nadu. For Thanjavur, it has given the party ticket to 'Karuppu' Muruganandam.
By choosing A C Shanmugham of the New Justice Party as a party candidate, the BJP has again ignored the claim of Tamilisai Soundararajan for the Vellore seat. Tamiliai belongs to the Kumari Anandhan family, a veteran Congress leader.
In Thanjavur again, Muruganandam is not a happy choice for party workers.
