Chennai:
Expelled DMK leader M K Alagiri met DMK MP and party president M Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi at her CIT Nagar residence in Chennai on March 27 and held discussions for over an hour.
Speculation is rife that a compromise solution is being mooted by Alagiri supporters even as DMK president Karunanidhi is firm that Alagiri had been expelled for over.
Alagiri also called on his mother Dayalu Ammal at Karunanidhi's residence in Gopalapuram on March 26. In the past, Dayalu Ammal had played the role of mediator whenever there were differences between husband and son. However, in view of poor health, the Dayalu Ammal factor is said to be limited now.
Alagiri had called on his mother taking advantage of the fact that Karunanidhi was out on campaign in Chennai.
