CPI releases list of candidates for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

Chennai:
The CPI on March 19 renominated sitting MP P Lingam from Tenkasi while announcing a total of nine candidates for the Lok Sabha polls to be held in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The party has fielded a woman candidate, R T Uma Maheswari from Ramanathapuram.
CPI State secretary D Pandian released the list of candidates at a press conference in Chennai.
The CPI is contesting the elections in Tamil Nadu had decided to face the polls with the CPI(M) after both the Left parties snapped ties with former ally AIADMK.
