Chennai:
Kochadaiiyaan looks to pioneer an environmental marathon ,that would include planting trees from Tirunelveli to Chennai as it propagates the “go green” message.
Eros International & Mediaone Global Entertainment’s Kochadaiiyaan ,The Legend is set to blaze a trail globally on May 23rd with its Performance Capture Technology, as it rivals and transcends the technological capabilities of Hollywood masterpieces like Avatar, Tin Tin and Beowulf. The magnum opus stars Superstar Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff and R Sarath Kumar among others is a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema.
The global, pan-Indian cinematic treat features the unique visual mastery of Photorealistic Performance Capture technology for the very first time in the history of an Indian film and to mark this on the calendar, the makers proposed a Marathon of a different kind to be held between May 18 and May 22, 2014 that will help spread the message of social responsibility across Tamil Nadu.
The technology that Kochadaiiyaan has brought into India will open up a huge industry providing job opportunities and skill development in artistic, creative and hands-on development.
With over a thousand participants expected in each leg of the run, the movement will look at planting saplings at each of the flag off venues and carry a message on environment friendly practices.
Director Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin says, “Following last year’s celebrations of India's film making centenary we view the release of Kochadaiiyaan as part of the next steps of Indian cinema. For the first time a full length feature has been made using performance capture technology in India and I truly hope this creates a whole alternate film making avenue apart from live action films in our country”.
