TN Governor visits ward of CM Jayalalithaa

Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao on October 21 visited the private hospital in Chennai where chief minister J Jayalalithaa was
undergoing treatment. This is his second visit to the hospital, since she was admitted on September 22.
"The Governor visited the CM in the ward where she is undergoing treatment. The governor was happy to note that the CM is
progressing well," a Raj Bhavan press release said.
Hospital representatives briefed the Governor on the nature of the treatment being given to the CM. Jayalalithaa's treatment was being
handled by a team of experts comprising doctors from critical care group of the hospitals, senior cardiologist, senior respiratory
physician, senior consultant, infectious diseases, endocrinologist, diabetologist and dieticians.
"The chairman, Apollo hospitals appraised the governor that the CM continues to be under treatment and observation for all viatal
parameters, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy. The CM is interacting and responding remarkably to the treatment," the
statement said.
Rao thanked the team of doctors attending the CM for the "excellent care" given by them.
Lok Sabha deputy speaker M Thambi Durai, TN ministers O Panneerselvam, P Thangamani, S P Velumani, C Vijaya Baskar, chief
secretary P Rama Mohana Rao, adviser to government, Sheela Balakrishnan, health secretary J Radhakrishnan were among those who
received the governor at the hospital.
