Rajini film 2.0 nearing completion, says director Shankar

Tamil film actor Rajiikanth film 2.0, directed by Shankar, is nearing completion. It is slated for a Deepavali release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Director Shankar said only a song remained to be shot, besides a few patchwork stints.
Shankar tweeted, “With my team after finishing a major scene of ‘2.0’ One song and some patch work still left,” Shankar tweeted on Friday and shared a photograph.
The remaining song will be shot on Rajinikanth and actress Amy Jackson in April, sources said.
2.0 is a sequel to the Tamil-Hindi film with Rajinikanth in dual roles of a scientist and a robot who turns rogue.
The film has Akshay Kumar in a crucial role as the antagonist, besides Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain. It is produced by Lyca Productions on a budget of Rs 450 crore.
