Yennai Arindhaal hits the screeens on Feb 5

Ajith's 'Yennai Arindhaal' directed by Gautham Menon is hitting the silver screen on February 5. With the hype over the Gautham Menon-directed movie peaking, the film is expected to have a good opening.
Ajith's fans, as expected, have already made huge advance bookings for the movie. However, the real test would be when booking will open next week. That will indicate whether the momentum can be sustained by repeat-audiences or not.
This is the first time that director Gautham Menon has teamed up with Ajith. If the film is on the Kaakka Kaakka lines, it could turn out to be one of the biggest hits this year.
The biggest problem for the film could be the hype. Excessive hype has led to problems for films like Suriya's Anjaan anbd Rajni's 'Lingaa'.
Gautham Menon, perhaps reacting to criticism that Linga was too long at three hours, has reportedly trimmed this film from running time of 2 hours 56 minutes to 2 hours 42 minutes even before the release.
